This is a really romantic cottage full of character.
The comfortable lounge has an arched granite entrance door and windows,
exposed oak beams and huge granite inglenook fireplace with a log burner.
The well equipped kitchen has vaulted ceilings and double doors that leads to a private patio area, complete with garden furniture, sun canopy and BBQ. From there out to the shared gardens and pool area.
On the 1st floor there is a large open plan bedroom with granite walls
and exposed oak beams and en-suite shower room.
La Basse Rouerie is a traditional Breton farmhouse and Longere that dates back 600 years in parts.
It has two and a half acres of gardens with open views ove undulating farmland.
The communal patio area has a brick BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a BBQ and a few drinks.
The heated above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard. The pool is open from May - September.
The gardens are the ideal place to either relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while sipping a glass a wine.
There is a badminton net, swings, boules pit, swing ball, football net, and basketball net in the gardens, along with numerous games.
In the covered veranda area there is table soccer and a darts board.
The gardens are large and safe enough for children to play.
Just down the lane there is an 18 km Patrimoine walk through lovely countryside.
Although we are in a quiet location, we are only 5 mins away from the village centre with its bar-tabac-restaurant-shop. And only 10 mins from Louvigne du Desert with its, shops, supermarkets and restaurants.
Also nearby are attractions like Mont Saint Michel, miles of sandy coastline,
water and floral parks, walking and cycle tracks, trout fishing, horse riding, canoeing, kayaking, Châteaux, and numerous places of interest.
We are the ideal place for that weekend break, a house-hunting trip, that romantic getaway or that family holiday, group bookings also available.
There really is something for everyone in this part of Brittany.
